Why Film?

I grew up shooting film, developing a love for that nostalgic & authentic feeling. Fast forward to present day, getting to incorporate film in my wedding days has been truly nourishing my soul in unexpected ways! There’s something so warm & comforting about film that feels like the perfect match for wedding days.

The seemingly mundane moments always seem to have a bit more magic when told through this medium. Being able to give that gift of storytelling through my film cameras to my couples makes it feel just a little more special.

FAQ’s

  • 110% yes! All of my weddings fully incorporate 35mm + medium format film (about a 30/70 split) as it plays a huge roll in my workflow + vision for your wedding day.

    I love both film + digital as independent mediums. When editing, I’m just trying to make them as beautiful as can be, while honoring the integrity of both mediums! I tend to keep my photos on the warmer side, so both your film & digital photos will come together cohesively.

  • Absolutely! While I am based in Wisconsin, I love going wherever your love story takes you + I'm passport ready. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re not local to Wisconsin!

  • For weddings you can expect a sneak peak within 72 hours and 6-8 weeks for your full gallery, and 2ish weeks for engagements/couples shoots!

  • I like to say refined messiness and structured authenticity! By that I mean I love to take a quieter approach of letting things happen as they happen, but also keep an artistic & thoughtful eye while photographing your day. I love to keep the original personality and quirks of the moment and have you two truly enjoy your day instead of spending the entire day taking photos!

  • I require a 30% retainer to reserve your date in my books, and the remaining 70% is split into 2 payments 60 days and 30 days before your wedding date.

    All other shoots also require a 30% retainer, and the remaining 70% a week before our shoot!

  • I don’t; my editing process is half of the magic that goes along with the initial photos and without it, it feels only halfway done. I promise to never leave any photos out that you’ll want/need, and if you feel I missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’m more than happy to check back through my images and send it over to you!
